Beware of imitations! Some jughead from L.A. has recently decided to appropriate the name Brahms’ 3rd Racket for his brand-new musical “vehicle.” It’s not exactly clear why he thought it was cool to take a name that was already taken – whether he simply neglected to do an Internet search, or whether he did the search, found little-old-nobody me and said: “Fuck it, this guy’s small potatoes, I’m taking it, anyway.” I have no clue what he was thinking, since the jughead won’t respond to any of the messages I’ve sent him. In all fairness, I’ve only been using the name Brahms’ 3rd Racket for twenty years, or so – a mere blink of an eye in geological terms. If Jughead and I were dinosaurs, it’d be a tossup as to who was first with B3R. Maybe that’s what he was thinking…? At any rate, I am no longer the only Brahms’ 3rd Racket in the Cenozoic Era.
